About the Course
- Rio Grande Club opened for play in 2002 and was ranked #6 in Golf Digest's Best New Upscale Public Courses in 2004.
- Our Par 72 course offers five sets of tees from 3,458 yards (Silver Tees) to 7,053 yards (Blue Tees).
- Golf at 8,500 feet---with elevational changes from 8,100 to 8,560 feet and an array of stunning views and shots.
- Our18-Hole championship layout offers two distict nine-hole experiences. On the frint nine, you'll play alongside and over the Rio Grande. The rich wetland habitat thrives with birdlife and an array of native wildlife and plant species. On the back nine, you'll play through sandstone outcroppings thick with a variety fo pine species, aspen and cottonwood trees; wild rose, gooseberry and currant; and massive rock formations peppered with the intricate mud nests of cliff swallows. The Mountain Nine offers dramatic elevation changes and stunning terrain bordering the Rio Grande National Forest, filled with native wildflowers and grasses---and holes following the serene Alder Creek.
